Who is responsible

Cheetah is operated by CHEETAH.AI, which is responsible for personal information used to provide the service. For privacy questions or requests, email contact@faite.ai. Employers separately control the information they receive through their recruitment processes.

Information we use

• Account and onboarding: your sign-in identity and email, first and last name, education and the CV/resume you upload, including text extracted from it. Cheetah creates a professional application email address from your name.
• Search preferences: roles, location, salary expectations, work style, experience, availability and other job-search preferences you provide.
• Application details: saved answers, work authorisation and sponsorship information, address and postcode when supplied, job decisions, cover letters, application progress and submission confirmations.
• Recruiter correspondence: your @applyto.email address, incoming messages and attachments, and replies you choose to send.
• Payments and support: subscription status, billing references, invoices, refund requests, referral attribution and messages you send us. Apple and RevenueCat process mobile subscription information; Stripe processes web payment information.
• Technical information: security and error records, service activity and limited first-party measurement described below. Hosting and infrastructure providers may also maintain request and security logs.

Cheetah is for people aged 18 or over. Required onboarding details let us set up your account and prepare applications; without them, setup cannot be completed.

How and why we use it

• Providing the service: account setup, job matching, preparing and submitting applications you approve, routing recruiter messages and managing your subscription. We rely on performance of our contract with you or steps you ask us to take before entering it.
• Keeping the service reliable: preventing abuse, resolving errors, supporting users and understanding product usage. We rely on legitimate interests where appropriate, balanced against your rights.
• Legal obligations: maintaining required financial records and responding to lawful requests.
• Consent: where required, we ask separately. You can withdraw consent for future processing without affecting processing already carried out lawfully.

AI, applications and saved answers

Your onboarding information is used beyond setup: it helps match jobs and fill supported employer forms. Saved names, contact details and suitable reusable answers can be filled automatically. We do not infer a street address or postcode from your city.

AI services help prepare application content and custom cover letters using relevant CV/profile information and job details. Automatic cover-letter generation can be enabled or disabled for future applications. Generated content can contain errors, so check that it accurately represents you.

When an employer asks something new, Cheetah may ask you for an answer. Reusable answers can be saved for future applications. Sensitive demographic answers and employer-specific consent answers are not treated as general reusable answers. Do not include sensitive information in free text unless it is necessary for the application you choose to make.

Cheetah does not sell your CV. You choose the jobs to apply to; approving a job authorises the supported application work. Matching recommendations do not decide whether an employer hires you. Employers make their own recruitment decisions.

Who receives your information

Information needed for an approved application is sent to the employer and its applicant-tracking platform. These recipients apply their own privacy notices; deleting your Cheetah account does not delete their copies.

We also use service providers to run Cheetah. Depending on the feature and configured processing route, these include:

• Google and Supabase: sign-in, account database and private file storage.
• Vercel and Render: website and backend hosting.
• Anthropic, and OpenAI where configured: AI-assisted application content. The cover-letter feature uses Claude Haiku.
• Trigger.dev and Steel: background application processing and supported browser automation.
• Job listing providers, including Jobo: relevant vacancy discovery using search criteria.
• Amazon Web Services and Resend: inbound email handling, email delivery and recruiter correspondence.
• Stripe: checkout, recurring billing and payment administration.

Providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, international transfers must use an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact contact@faite.ai for information about the countries and safeguards applicable to your data.

Cookies and browser storage

Cheetah uses cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, maintain account and interface state, and preserve onboarding progress. Clearing this storage can sign you out or remove unsaved progress; it does not delete your account.

Our first-party launch measurement records selected events, such as a homepage visit, demo swipe, completed onboarding or checkout intent. It uses a random session-storage identifier, stored on our server as a one-way hash, plus limited campaign and referral information. These event records do not include your CV, application answers, IP address or user-agent string. This does not describe separate infrastructure security logs.

The launch tracker does not run when Do Not Track is enabled, in automated browsers, or on local and preview domains. Referral attribution may also be stored to connect a signup to the partner who referred it.

Retention and security

We keep profile details, CV files, saved answers, application records and mailbox information to provide your account while it is active. You can request deletion through Settings. Limited records may remain where necessary for legal obligations, billing, fraud prevention or disputes; their retention depends on those purposes and applicable requirements. Launch analytics records are retained for no more than 12 months.

Access controls and private storage restrict access to CV files and application proof. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Avoid sending passwords or full payment-card details in a support message.

Your choices and rights

In Settings you can edit your profile, export a JSON account archive, cancel subscription renewal and request permanent account deletion. Deletion includes cancellation of an active renewable subscription. Export anything you need before deleting your account.

Depending on applicable law, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Email contact@faite.ai from your account email where possible. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing information.
